Some of you have read my 100 things list and have commented on #60, I have been shot at ...twice.

It was nothing personal. I just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Twice.

Both times were when I lived in Queens. The 1st time I had been coming home one night while my neighbor was having a shootout with a car driving by. I never found out what it was about.

Once this same neighbor almost shot my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I had borrowed my mother’s car, he had been driving. When we parked he got out and I waited for him to come around and open my door. My neighbor only saw him and ran over with his gun which he pointed at my boyfriend’s face. He had thought that someone had been trying to steal my mother’s car. Of course I jumped out and explained and he put down the gun.

The 2nd time I was shot at, I was sitting in a bar, when I suddenly heard a loud noise. The guy I was with grabbed me and flung me off the barstool to the floor. Someone in a car had shot through the window a couple of times. It was pretty scary.

 

I just got back from seeing the space shuttle launch, and it was awesome. There were huge crowds, people were charging $5 to park in their driveways, they were selling T-shirts and water bottles. We got there about 15 minutes before countdown began and we were very lucky to get a free parking spot right on the edge of the river.

You Should Spend Your Summer at the Beach

You're a free spirit who is always thinking of new ways to have fun. And you don't just love summer... you live for it. So, you really should blow off your responsibilities and head to the beach!

I had a great time when my daughter was here and now that she's gone I miss her already.

Now my son is visiting and my husband is being a jerk. He thinks I baby my son and so he resents him being here.

So my husband is barely speaking to me, but I just smile and act like nothing is wrong.

1. Summer is my favorite season.

2. I think cruises are the best vacation, I have been on 5 of them.

3. When I am reading a book that I like, I cannot put it down and usually finished it in about 2 days.

4. I love the smell on food cooking on the grill.

5. I have a pool and I love swimming.
